This special steel is designed to assist the air flushing capabilities of gas powered drills, especially in soft, fractured, sandy or wet materials. Drill deeper holes (up to 10") without binding. The auger carbide cross bit is especially ground in our shop to cut away any "collar build-up" on the way out of the hole.
